Hi guys

The date of the alleged offence was 26th October 2012

I sent an informal appeal on 4th November 2012

Council received my letter on 7th November 2012

I receive the attached letter dated 20th Demver 2012

My informal appeal has been rejected and I received a NTO on 9th January 2012-

Do I have any grounds to make a formal appeal based on the council not replying within a certain amount of time

Thx

Did the council send you a appeal form for patas etc ?

That is only sent with a Notice of Rejection to a formal appeal to the NTO.

OP: There is no statutory time limit for a reply to an informal appeal. There is a statutory limit of 56 days but that is only in reply to a formal appeal.

Then wait for the nto which would have been put on hold. If you do not pay the reduced rate then once it goes back to the full rate it will trigger a nto. Care fully word your appeal. Also scrub your pcn details of the pdf. the council are complete and utter bast**ds. they will track you via this method.

So whats cooking today ?

I have unapproved the attachments as the second contains identifying details. Please remove the PCN number, time and date of contravention and clear the registration number a little better and resubmit. I haven't checked the text of the letter, but it is important that you remove any details which could identify you.

Any advice given is done so on the assumption that recipients will also take professional advice where appropriate.

Imformal appeals are pre- NTO. Formal appeal is post-NTO.

That already means the local authority have been in contact with the DVLA for owner detail, and presumably paid for the priviledge, which they will now wish to recover on top of any PCN.
