renewing my ESA50 questions

Hi, I have a new ESA50 to fill in before the end of November. I have been in the WRAG group for some time now after going to tribunal the first time after a looong wait.

Can someone tell me how long it takes from when I return my ESA 50 for ATOS to arrange my medical now.

Will they contact me by phone or letter to arrange an appointment.

I just want them to leave me alone until after christmas, I have butterflies just thinking about it all again.

How quickly will they move once they receive my ESA50.

Will they contact me by phone or letter to arrange an appointment.I believe they phone, but they have to by law notify you in writing at least 7 days in advance. You are not obliged to answer the phone to them, nor speak to them on the phone if you don't want to.

I just want them to leave me alone until after christmas, I have butterflies just thinking about it all again.

How quickly will they move once they receive my ESA50.

There really is no simple answer to most of your questions. Even asking for your assessment to be audio recorded may not delay things by much - it seems some people are seen quite quickly whilst others, like me, wait 6 months plus. Fill in your form with help if you can get it or using all the online advice you can find, include as much supporting evidence as you can, and ask for the assessment to be recorded (either in the 'special arrangements' box at the beginning, or in the further information at the end) and I really doubt they'll bother you before Christmas.

Ow long's a bit a string? The target time, issue of ESA50 to Jobcentreplus decision, is thirteen weeks. Currently, almost all Atos assessment centres are way behind schedule with face to face assessments. A few of them have resorted to doing assessments on Sundays. Again!

Thank you both, I will just have to wait and see. I'll update when its all over. I will send it back at the last possible moment.

I am waiting for a result from an Industrial Injuries medical so if thats good news I will be able to use the results in my new ESA50.
