Janis Dont be worried by these fools

First of all they wont take you to court, its simply there to scare you. You dont use representation in the small claims court, it wouldnt go to "your small claims court", but the local county court. Talking utter rubbish!

With regards to them saying they are going to get someone to come and asses you, what are they going to do?, take a medial , put you in a strait jacket?

Just to be on the safe side, email him a copy of the "No door step visitors letters". also advise that if anyone calls you will call the police to have them assessed for removal from your premises!

Also if you have a front garden and they have to walk up the path to knock on your door, you are within your rights to use reasonable force to eject them from your property. I'm a fan of letting the dogs out the side door and watching them run down the path. If you dont have a garden and they are on the public footpath, theres very little you can do, unless they are knocking on the door or peering through the windows.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Now that would be good - you could report them as a peeping tom

There have been plenty of reports of DCA's doing that. One even made the national press when he was trying to look in a bedroom window with binoculars. The man in the house kicked off big time, as it was his young daughters bedroom.

It happened a while ago. The father came running out, chased the DCA's van up the road and blocked them in by a farmers gate. He then got out his phone to record them. One of the Debt collectors "agents", hid in the back of the van, the other guy pulled his cap over his face and pretended to use the phone.

Ahh thanks BB . But DCA's have been known to do similar things. If a state sponsered DCA ( TVL) can do it, imagine all the things that regular DCA's get up to.
