Hello all ,am new to the forum and this is my very 1st post.From what I have read especiall in the PPI complaints thread I have picked up invaluable lessons. I had put in my questionaires to both MBNA and Barclays before stumbling on this forum. I gave the forms my best shot in filling them but it would have been more structured if i had been here before. I will keep you posted on the responses I get from them. Thanks you guys for the good works you are doing here for us all. Hv a nice morning.

Further to my 1st mail i would like to know if I need to do a SAR to both MBNA and Barclays whilst waiting for their response on my PPI complaints as I did not do this before filling the questionaire. I think it should be advised by the firms when the questionaires are sent out,moreover I was pressured by Barclays to fill the form and return by the 22nd of this month the questionaire i got on the 10th of June. Barclays also stated in the letter that it will not acknowledge the receipt of the retuned questionaire!!. Over to you wise ones.

I would start two new threads in the PPI forum, one for Barclays and one for MBNA

madison10,you really should be starting your own threads in the PPI forums,one for each of these claims would benefit.

The banks have no requirement to advise on whether or not you need to do a SAR,and are unlikely to suggest it.

Whether they are needed in your case,depends on the information you have,may need,or are missing in order to assist you with the claims for PPI or else any other issues.

The questionaire is a formality and was introduced by the FOS as a means of monitoring PPI claims levels,and also to make it easier to intervene should there be a need.
