Hi Rupert, This is the same withdrawl as mine. I went to court with a photocopy and placed it on file just in case. I also turned up to court for the hearing just in case. The usher had a word with the judge and the hearing was vacated that morning. I received confirmation by post a few days later.

Dont worry everythings above board and well done !!!

Update:

As Andyorch advised above, the court vacated the hearing after the SD was withdrawn by 1st Credit.

I have had written confirmation from the court to state this.

So as far as the Statutory Demand goes (and I suppose this particular post) - that is all over now and this thread can be closed or whatever.

Many, many thanks for everyones help and advice.

Just a niggling final thought though....... as far as the Debt they think they have a claim on - what will 1st Credit or Halifax try next? I'm not convinced they will simply give up that easily. Anyone any idea's?

Hi Rupert,

Leave the thread open so that we can still post on here please.

I've not heard anything more since responding to their threat to issue an SD, but I have heard they can be persistent so we shall see!

Yes, leave the thread open as it will be of value to others..

As for 1st credit - they might (stressed) find away of returning the account to HBoS - 1st Credit are taking a bit of a hit from some of the accounts they purchased from HBoS.
