My mum has recently received a letter from Intrum in resepct of a judgement which was obtain in 2008. It says the they have purchased a debt from associates capital corporation but my mum has no knowledge of owing anything to this company. The letter says they are currently considering whether enforcement action is both reasonable and proportionate. This is the 1st letter she has ever received and has no knowledge of the debt. What does she do? Is this not statue barred? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
