Hi people my girlfriend has a silly debt of nothing more then £30 she paid this debt. But the the collection agency are asking for the amount she has a statement with the payment from her bank to the collection agent but they are still ringing and harassing her weekly letters of threats. What should she do ? We tried telling them of the statement with payment but they said they don't care as they didn't receive it ?

So you now write and make it an official complaint.

You will need to write to the Head office/Registered office of the company. Addressed to the CEO

Include a copy of your previous letter and the statement / proof of payment .

Advise them if they continue to harass you, you will be reporting them to the OFT and Financial Ombudsman.. then do that anyway.
