Our company has been receiving quite a number of these calls and you can press a number to 'connect' to somebody or you can press 9 to not receive any more of these calls....stupid thing is we have been pressing 9 on a number of occasions and they STILL call....I have found out the company are offering 'debt management' or IVA's....and when asked said they might be able to help with missold PPI. I'm fed up with these companies calling - when I asked who it was they said Debt Free Helpline. I suggest that if you get these calls then send them in to the OFT and OFCOM

Me: Thanks, we are London Underground and I am sure the Government would most appreciate it, so would the Mayor of London

Them: Excuse me (or words to that effect)

Me : Repeated statement above

Them: Think you're being funny do you

Me: Think you are working for a serious organisation do you - please remove this number from yours and any associates/affilliates databses. Goodbye

 

There is also the famous one where I told somebody I wanted a loan for more equipment for my dungeon as I was a dominatrix.....
