I'm quite good in the Art of Knitting :-)

I'm sure you can get an I-Phone app for it.

I think CAG member sillygirl1 may be one to ask.

Thanks chaps, will contact others as suggested. Couldn't come back on Saturday, broadband went off. Then I lost temper with half knitted teddy and unpicked it!

I am struggling with the instructions for the head. Its all those " every foll 4th alt row" so on and so forth. Will copy out what is bothering me and send it. I am determined that i will do this teddy! If only I had paid attention when nan tried to teach me......... LOL.

Thanks everyone - I have now finished teddy - he just needs sewing up. Thanks especially to sillygirl for translating the pattern for me.!

I am now halfway through making a lovely chunky jacket for the winter, and i am very pleased with myself - so far. Next it is left front and i can see some of those bloody foll alts whatnots lurking halfway down the instructions!

Strangely enough I don't have any problem at all with lace knitting - I find it easy! I did about 20 squares of a throw, and really enjoyed it. It is understanding the logic of those instructions "4th foll alt and so-on". I mean are they actually in English? I cannot get it you know, and I am worried its an age related thing!

But thanks everyone, I'm really enjoying this new hobby!
