reason for these changes first move get a complaint

and notice of dispute in to thr CRA immediately then

a report to the ICO with copies of the screen prints

and letters.

This needs quick effective reporting and investigation I think.

one can see no viable reason for amending or changing

account numbers unless there is something untoward afoot.

Like an existing account with the (new) numbers, so when an enquirey is made to BC by HFO - BC will confirm it exists?

 

They are up to something - and it will not be for a legitimate purpose.

 

Would be worth comparing the (new) numbers.

Bear in mind that Barclays themselves have two numbers against an account – their internal account number, and the number of the card. HFO then assign their own account number.

Why the sudden decision to change account numbers now,

when they are in deepest do do and should not want to draw

more attention from the regulators.

It is a shame I have no one at the present who this is happening

I agree - but they never inform the OFT about anything else.

 

I think the people in the know are aware they will be losing their licence and are just stringing out the process for as long as they can. And in doing so would pull any stunt they can.

 

Simply changing their numbers on the CRA files is one thing - but writing to people going on about incorrect account numbers - and waiting for confirmation from BC suggests this is more than just an admin excercise.

Hi,

 

The original number is 16 digits and ends in the card number. The new one is 13 and is the account number looking at all the paperwork.

 

All other information is the same.

 

When should I complain to the OFT?

As long as this is an update and not a new entry

along side the original entry ignore until it can be

established what the purpose of this change is.

No complaint in. I have studied the print offs and is Roxburghe and last payment confirmed 4/11/05.
