I posted here before xmas as my husband and I were having to default on 5 payday loans between us. My husband had a payday uk and a quick quid loan that are now being paid off by installments. I had a payday loan which I have now nearly finished paying. Both those companies were easy to deal with for us and am happy with how they are being resolved.

However we both also had a wonga account. I owed £750 (inc interest) and he owed £760 (inc interest)

We both emailed wonga a million times. offered payment plans. Usual responses from them over and over and got nowhere.

Now experto have my wonga loan and say I have to pay £1750. I have been emailing back and forth with them. They said either I pay £40 a month till the full£1750 is paid or they will take me to court.

I dont know whether to push it or just start paying them. Would they take it to court? Will they turn up on my doorstep?

I have spent so many months worrying about this and just want it all sorted.

My husbands wonga has gone to roxburghe and they said he now owes £2891.54!!!! we defaulted the same day. My husband has been emailing roxburghe and they are ignoring him.

So do i tell experto to shove it and wait and see or do i start paying them

They will not take you to Court. If you pay them it is a bonus. Make a full and final offer to them, which should be them amount you owe them, not including their interest, but stick to it. Keep your offer recorded somewhere. Chances are they will not respond, if they don't and in the unlikey event of a Court action being taken you can demonstrate to the Court that you served on them an offer that was not replied to. If they do respond I would suggest payment is made and the matter is closed.

Hi Tilly

I wouldn't pay them anything until you reach agreement. Court is not such a bad thing although doubt they will risk it. Put the heat on them with a dca and possibly a sar request. The latter will cost you a tenner but worth it.

They have yet to take anyone court and if they threaten a doorstep visit just ignore them. If they turn up and this is unlikely tell em to go away.

Make it difficult for them.
