Bailiff asked me for £400 for unpaid pcn (parking ticket). He had refused to negotiate and threatened another £140 minimum for another visit.

I complained about it to the company head office using advice off this forum and having researched the subject myself.

The outcome is that they have withdrawn the bailiff, and his 'fees', and allowed me to pay the initial amount which is over £200 less and given me a bit of time to do this, so I am happy now.

Many thanks to the regular posters on here for your advice and the time you put in. That's saved me a lot of hassle and stress.

Cheers folks. I'm glad to get this sorted, as if it had gone further, I couldn't have paid the bailiff what he was demanding, and it would have been bad on my health and family too. Fair play to the person at the company office who handled the case and allowed sense to prevail. :)
