Hi Rooster.

Still got the MIL and she will be here for as long as necessary and frankly I couldn't do this without her.

We can take little Peasant in with us anytime we please. Being a private hospital, Mrs P has her own room so we're not disturbing anyone else too much so he goes everyday.

Off to work now. Let's see what today brings

RP, can you get a couple of days compassionate leave from work? I realise that you may have already done this in the initial stages, but maybe a few more would help you to regain some strength?

Best wishes to you and your family xxx

There is news and it's almost all good.

Mrs Peasant is at home!!!!

The MRI showed no need for surgery but she does have a small tumour. They don't feel the need for any intervention at the moment as they believe it is benign and will not grow significantly bigger. It will be monitored.

For the time being it's just rest (trust me - getting her to do that is easier said than done) and that was a condition of her discharge. Misbehave she will get worse again and be back in.

She's still a long way from being well but hopefully being at home will help her recovery. Has to go back and see the consultant next week but for now I'm a reasonably happy Peasant:)

Brilliant RP - that's terrific news - just in time for the week-end too.

With loads of rest and TLC from you all Mrs RP should be fine in no time - :D:D

It's great to see a happy outcome, mate......

Best wishes to you all...........:):)

Well, that's very good news. So was the diagnosis a viral meningitis then, with a benign tumour?

i will be off site for the next month or so. if you have any problems, feel free to report the post so a moderator can help you.

I've been lurking and following this thread (my thoughts have been with you, but frankly I didn't know what to say... words just seemed inadequate) However, I'm so glad you have had this great news. Make sure she gets the rest she needs (I know you and MIL are gonna make her rest anyway... if not I'm sure you can obtain some handcuffs from somewhere!!!), and enjoy some quality time with your family after your stressful and restless few days.

All the best

Alex

That's the news we've all been waiting for.

I'm sure that between you and the MIL, Mrs RP WILL follow doctor's orders.

Now that she's home again, she will be much happier. Just make sure that she takes it easy until she's fully recovered. Don't take any argument from her... Dr. Rooster has spoken.

Love and best wishes to all of you, especially MIL..... She's a diamond.

BUMP!

Don't leave us in mid-air, RP, how is Mrs. RP progressing. I hope she's feeling brighter now that she's home.

Just spoil her rotten, you know she's worth it.

I know she'll probably be somewhat impatient to be up and about, but you must insist that she takes it easy.

Best wishes, Rooster.;)

I would just like to reiterate what Locutus said and wish you and your family all the very best.

I'm so happy that Mrs P is home and that you're all there for each other.

I'd come round and make the bed or look after littley or whatever to help, could even bring Mikey & Sulley but you live a little to far away for us to just pop round so we'll will send a big monster hug instead...

Lots of love

Sorry guys, work got in the way!

We're both so touched by your concern.

Mrs P is getting better by the day as the medication takes effect.

I can tell she's feeling better cos she's started spending money again. The 2 weeks she spent in hospital were the cheapest 2 weeks since we got married;)

MIL still here and being brilliant. Little Peasant is just so good. I came in from work yesterday and Mrs P was asleep on the sofa. When I came in he just whispered "Hello Daddy, be quiet, mummy is asleep so she gets better". It was only 2pm and she'd been asleep for an hour. She slept until nearly 4 o'clock. Not bad for someone who normally survives on 4 hours sleep a day!

Being self indulgent, I'm knackered. Done eight 4am starts in the last 9 days but it means I'm home in the afternoon. Day off tomorrow and I've told the MIL that I will get up when little one does so SHE can have a break. 6.30 for me is a lie in!

Mrs P still has a monster headache but isn't as bad as she was but we're in for a long haul. She want's to name the tumour so it's personal but we can't come up with a name. She's guessing it's male as it will probably sit there and do nothing but we don't have a name for it yet.

By the way - next time she says to me "I've got a brain tumour you know" I may be forced to remove it myself:)

As a suggestion for a name for an annoying, useless lump that Mrs RP would like to get rid of. :D

Seriously, RP, I think that is a brilliant idea - give it a name and therefore something tangible to fight against.

All help is merely my opinion only - please seek legal advice if you need to as I am only qualified in SEN law.
