Mods - any chance we can have an honest discussion on the forum as there are a lot of people who have been here a long time who are unhappy and feel like leaving or have indeed left.

 

Certainly do not want a slanging match, and I would hope users would behave with decorum, but I for one am extremely worried by the explanations I have been given.

Seriously people - not everything involves conspiracy.

 

Some people have realised that either it's not for them, or that they just can't afford the time.

 

In the great scheme of things, it's just an Internet forum, nothing more.

 

There's no need to be concerned - we have it in hand - there are a LOT of very capable people here who can afford the time and who DO help others.

 

I'm sorry to see those that left go, of course I am - but life is like that - things get in the way and *real* life takes over.

You'll be very lucky to get certain Mods. to speak out on open forum... but it would show a more mature approach if the situation wasn't dressed up to be the "coincidence" that it's not... even if the true reasons are left hanging there for members to speculate over, if those who've moved away from CAG don't wish to comment on what's made them decide to demote/move on.

 

I am also unable to betray confidences, but will be seriously considering my future here as well.

The information was given in good faith, and for that I am accused of being a liar.

You are entitled to your opinions, it's a free country.

And I am entitled to mine. I am also entitled to keep my opinions and any information that I may have, to myself.

Obviously, if you consider me to be a liar you will not be interested in what i have to say.

 

Have your discussion if you wish. Perhaps you might ask Lula, who is no longer a team member, to give you the low-down. She seems to know more than the team!

As much as i love this forum, I have sensed a black cloud today

Mods and site helpers bickering, people getting the wrong end of the stick on other threads ans snapping at people trying to help and even in the Bear garden people are being ridiculed for which part of the country they live in.

We are supposed to be pulling together with a common goal here, not pulling other apart.

I am also seriouly considering my future on this site.

i have been a 1 minate wonder on this site and the information that has helped me beat the dca`s on the site has been fantastic i could not have done it on my own thanks to otb, brassed off ,np.

 

ben this i`m sure your influance on these members also helped thank you for all you had done for members before i even arrived

 

Now is the time to pull together stop the bickering and focus on the job ahead , helping each other and being succesful in are claims.

I'm not even sure I can imagine what they think this 'conspiracy' is about, or what other reasons there would be for someone to no longer be a mod or sitehelper.

 

However, I'm open to being enlightened by email if someone knows of a reason that I (and probably even those that have left) don't know about.

I can only assume that comment was for me... since I was the first one to question things. Fortunately, I'm not bothered by it and am not offended by it either.

 

As it's also not my business to enlighten you or anyone else, the matter will be brushed under the carpet unless someone whose business it is, wants to speak up.

 

If they don't, then that's their choice and and everyone can live happily ever after.

The comment wasn't aimed at any one person, just at all the people that always think there is an agenda.

 

It happens a lot on here, and I think it's because we're all, for the most part, in the same boat - pushed up against the wall by banks, DCAs etc... and that causes us to think that 'everyone is out to get us'.

 

I would say that if someone wanted to 'speak up' that they probably would have done so by now, no?

 

Could it be that they haven't 'spoken up' because, simply, there is nothing to speak up about?

 

If people don't want to use this site because of what they think has happened, then ok.
