Following advice given in this forum, I wrote to MDR, eclosing a £1.00 postal order, denying all knowledge and asking for a copy of the CCA.

This is the letter they sent to me..

What, if anything, should I reply. Or should I ignore this latest letter?

:o That is a shocking letter, they should NOT be requesting any information on ANY evidence you may give concerning Courts! That's got nothing to do with them, they are obviously trying to catch you out!

These are a bunch of wassics and it sounds like they are playing for time and trying to sound professional! I have dealt with these idiots in the past, their grammar has always been poor, "they are continuing do":D

Do NOT give them any info concerning evidence.

Somebody else will be along shortly and give you the advice you need, don't worry about them, they are still in Kindergarten! :D

Did you know that banks take out insurances to cover for your loans so, in the event you cannot pay back, they get their dosh back anyway!

Hi RedMist

I got the same letter (21st February) when I requested my CCA.

Dont send them anything, they haven't contacted me since the date of last letter, I have'nt sent them anything, why make their life easy.

They went into default on the 6th March.

You could thank them for their letter and inform them that the contents of the letter are noted.

Then, misunderstanding the contents of the letter, you could always reply along the lines of the report you will make to Trading Standards FOS etc. when they default after 12 days and then commit a summary criminal offence after a further 30 with regard to your CCA request.

It's the same letter that moorcroft sent to me about 3 months ago.

They've even sent me one before I sent the CCA letter.

So to confuse them even more I sent a CCA request by return of post.

so someone is deffo getting very mixed up with the letter templates.

I wouldn't ignore it totally.

If you don't want to play games then just acknowledge receipt and write that the contents are noted.

and that'll do.

There's a reason for it but for the life of me i can't remember why it's best to do it

Moorcroft are a classic example of a company that think form letters cover everything.

Just question everything they say and do, add "account in dispute" to the top of everything you send to them, and they'll just go quiet when they run out of form letters and threat-o-grams to send to you.

I've had 3 dealings with them myself and twice for friends.

Everytime they have gone silent and never to be heard from again.

If there was ever a primary school for DCA's, Moorcroft would be that place. Bunch of amateurs the lot of them.

  • 3 weeks later...
I have not heard anything since this letter.

How long do they have to send me my CCA?

12 + 2 working days before they become in default of your request and after a further calendar month they commit a summary offence

I sent the letter on 6th March. Should I send another explaining the above?

NO!!

They are the so called professionals  and know exactly their legal obligations. Its not your job to remind them. Should they demand money without complying with your CCA then they must be reported
