  1. I know its been a while since I updated everyone. HFO finally sent me the CCA and I couldn't read it so I asked them to send me another copy, after going back and forth for several months as the copy was really bad. they took me to court (Jan 2012), by this time they had put the debt to over 12K, I went and defended myself using all the advice that everyone here had given me and it helped a lot, the Judge decided that I had every right to get a copy that I could read and he would not continue until they produced it, he gave them a year (Jan 2013). During that year they continued to contact me asking for payment, which I refused then out of the blue Turnbull sent me an email stating that their client would like to offer me a discount and if I paid them £1500 that would be a full and final settlement figure (hmm over 12k to 1500) but I stuck by my guns and waited for them to produce the document. Well Jan 2013 came and I had received nothing, so I contacted the court the day before the case to find out if I still had to attend, they said no. I have not heard anything from them for quite some time but I know they don't give up easily so I do expect to hear something from them in the future. But with all the help and advice I received from you all on here I know I will be able to cope the next time they contact me. I would just like to say thank you to everyone for your help and advice. And good luck to all those still being harassed by HFO but you will get through it just like I did. Wikkitt
  2. Please I need some advice 'I took out a logbook loan in Dec 2011 for £700 repayment was 2500, today I received a statement (first one I have ever received) on looking at this I have noticed that they have charged me £12 late payment charges every 7 days that my payment has not been received this was also charged for every letter, email or sms they sent, sometimes this could be 2 or 3 times in the same day as they emailed me and sms me on the same day. I have also noticed that they have not put onto the statement my 22nd and 29th March payments, I will do a more thorough check to find out if anymore of my payments are missing. I will be contacting them about the missing payments. They say I still have £1000 outstanding but with the missing payments (the 2 I mentioned) and the charges they have applied this could actually drop that down to only £500 I owe them. My question is can I claim back the charges they have put onto the account? PS: I have my logbook as a new look one was issued during last year and the DVLA sent it to me.

  6. Well just an update. The 12+2+30 days were up on 6th April. I sent them the letter thanking them for the application form and that it had none of the prescribed terms and that it was unenfoceable. Today I recieved another letter from them with the exact same papers as before, so I have sent the letter again about unenforceable, I feel like I'm going round in circles . Wikkitt
  7. The Funny thing is when I received the the first letter with the so called agreement I't was signed by the Senior Advisor, Compliance department and for me to reply to him at the same address as Equidebt, I sent them the letter telling them about unenforceable. Now it comes back to me with another persons name with this offer. I am getting a bit confused as to who the letters should go to, well hopefuly its just as confusing for them:) Wikkitt

  9. Hi MilkTrayMan I have checked the number on these websites and they have come back with no record of the number. Hi Louis wu, I don't have a monument card, but I do have Barclay cards but HFO have these, and I have requested copies of my CCA from HFO and they haven't responded, the 12+2+30 days were up on the 27th March. Thank you. Wikkitt

  13. Just a quick question? The 12+2+30 days have passed (27th March) to supply me with a copy of my CCA. Should I send them a letter telling them or just wait to see if they contact me? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me. Wikkitt
  14. Hi CCJ's should not be sold on, you should send them a letter telling them this is a CCJ, they will then have to accept the amount that was agreed by the court. Lloyds have sold on other CCJ's to AIC, they sold my mums one onto them when she informed them it was a CCJ they were quite shocked that this has been sold to them and agreed to keep the payments at the amount the courts had agreed. Hope this helps. Wikkitt
  15. Hi Tashasmum Never talk to them on the phone, they will try to get you to pay them. I have had a bad time with them, I found them to be very rude and aggressive, they even got my work email address and sent me an email. I told them I would only deal with them in writing, they didn't want that so I sent a CCA request to them. If they really want to get intouch they will send you a letter, wait for this to arrive, then send the CCA request letter to them. Hope this helps. Wikkitt
  16. Hi RedMist I got the same letter (21st February) when I requested my CCA. Dont send them anything, they haven't contacted me since the date of last letter, I have'nt sent them anything, why make their life easy. They went into default on the 6th March. Wikkitt
  17. Hi Dave I had one of these cards. The only thing was the charges, you either pay £4.95 a month admin costs or you pay £1 every time you use the card (in store or cash withdrawal). But if you need to get an account but dont have good credit you could get the flex account from nationwide (standard account) or the easycash account from halifax (with electron card). Hope this helps. Wikkitt
  18. Hi djgordyp Thanks will get my mum to send it to them. Wikkitt
  19. My mum phoned them and they said they were going to send her the statements, but they also want her to prove she didn't live at the address in 1990. Wikkitt
  20. Hi They must be sending out random letters as I have already read (in the past couple of hours) 4 threads about capquest and littlewoods accounts. My mum received the same letter today 29/03/08 from capquest stating that she owed 100.00 to littlewoods, The letter is dated 27/3/08 and they are saying that they will pass this on to their solicitors to commence legal action, and she must contact them by the 26/3/08. She has never had a Littlewoods account, but after she phoned them (she told me this when I arrived at her home this morning), she was told that it was a debt from 1990, but she didn't even live at this address then. 22. Hi They must be sending out random letters, as my mum received a letter today (threatening legal action and sending around baliffs) from Capquest regarding a littlewoods Catalogue, the amount owed £100 dating from 1990 she has never had this catalogue and she didn't even live at this address in 1990, the best thing was they wanted her to phone them by 26th march and the letter was dated 27th march.
