  1. Hello, I ordered built in wardrobes and some shelves for the existing wardrobes. After 6 weeks two gentlemen appeared and installed some of the items in awful quality, the shelves are not in line, pencil markings everywhere, dents to the existing wardrobes, etc. Along with that they ruined my cream carpets (I moved into a brand new house a 2 months ago! carpets are still in majority covered by the protective plastic layer, but everything around is now grey. In addition they put one of the wardrobes on top of the plastic !), stained the walls and ceiling. At the very end they started the installation of the doors to the wardrobes and these were of even worse quality and were damaged, so they took them off and disappeared. I contacted the company and send the photos. In response i was rudely told that nothing will be done to rectify my brand new house and if I want my doors I need to pay the last instalment. Is there anything I can do?

  3. Dell admits security flaw was built into computers A security hole that could allow attackers to access users' personal data was inadvertently placed on Dell computers, the company has admitted. The hole represented a "profound security flaw" that could allow access to bank details and other personal data, experts said. Dell has issued guidance on removing the software that produced it. 4. As the title says,a proposed plan has been put forward to build and revamp an existing hotel, there will be 3 hotels with a total of 182 bedrooms.Looking at the proposed plans it looks like there is car parking space for just 20 cars at the most. Does anyone know if,by law, they have to provide a certain amount of car park spaces or does it not matter(by law) if they only have a few spaces for guests. Any help woud be greatly appreciated. Many thanks indeed. Penny Lane1960
  5. My daughter bought a custom built laptop from an on-line company in November last year and it hasn't ever connected to the internet. She thought she wasn't operating it correctly so didn't return it straight away. We've all had a go trying to get it to connect to no avail so after Christmas she got a friend who works in IT to have a look and he said there is no internet card. She sent an e-mail to the company asking to return it and they have refused. Their literature says that you do have to return in a month but she is at University and has a retail job which was manic over the festive season. She is angry as she spent £550 on this and now they won't look at it. Would anyone know what rights she has? Surely she can't be left high and dry like this as this hasn't ever worked. Be really grateful if anyone could advise us. Thanks
