Help sought with E&S Water - forced meter
papasmurf1cx replied to hsuffyan's topic in Utilities - Gas, Electricity, Water
I think the whole country is eventually going to have meters so I doubt he would be successful in challenging this. -
Have you taken it to a Bike repairer to get them to give you an idea what is wrong with it? Good bike shops probably will spot the problem before taking it apart.

Perhaps you should lease in future? I had a bad experience a few years ago with second hand cars and always now buy from new as at least I know I am the only driver that can be blamed for faults arising. At a loss at what to suggest.

So who will be the next Labour leader?
papasmurf1cx replied to Fred Bassett's topic in The Bear Garden – for off-topic chat
I concur with those that couldn't give a damn. They should all be taking out and shot at dawn for the mess they have made and as for the last 2 Prime Toss*rs don't get me started on them.!!!!!!!! -
Not sure you can at present simon. They haven't done anything to you yet unless you are talking about the stress. PI action for stress in an employment field is very difficult to prove. Normally the PI side of things in Tribunal cases are just another factor of the case eg a discrimination case. Unfortunately you need to find out what they are doing with your case. You should be printing out their policies eg grievance, attendance, and discipline policies to see what they should be doing. Then put in a grievance that they are not doing what they ought to.

Grievance -help please
papasmurf1cx replied to accounts's topic in Employment and minimum wage problems
Unions condoning discrimination does not surprise me..... it is a disgrace and is why we are pursuing one of the biggest unions for discrimination for not fighting discrimination in the NHS. -
A claim for what? Stress? I think you need to find out what they are going to do with you. have you looked and printed out company policy over discipline matters, grievances and attendance? you need to know what the company are obliged to do and go after what they have not done within their own policies. Once you know, you could perhaps put in a grievance that they are not following their policies and see where that takes you. have you legal protection insurance? You may need it to employ a solicitor should they want to dismiss you and you need to fight them in the Employment Tribunal?

Gross Misconduct - loyalty card fraud
papasmurf1cx replied to mizzyme's topic in Employment and minimum wage problems
So to be clear you work at the store and also do your shopping there. Isn't there a special procedure for when you do your own shopping? I see the girls at our supermarket going around with a jacket over their uniform and they have to take their shopping to a supervisor to check out just avoid this type of problem. Is there no policy at your store like this?- 18 replies

Bullying in the workplace!
papasmurf1cx replied to Beware!'s topic in Employment and minimum wage problems
Hi Beware... I posted on this link previously but it doesn't seem to have logged in. Anyway I would also say that what you are planning is very noble. So here is a couple of legal pointers. First of all ensure before starting any action that you have in place a legal protection policy covering employment disputes (and as was pointed out in another thread that it covers discrimination issues if you can although perhaps that is what is happening now ie exclusion of DDA matters). This is because if you create the waves that are anticipated then you may well be in need of it. It can be very stressful. I take it that you could and would make a statement to your friends solicitors in furtherance of his dispute. Does that dispute have as an allegation some form of discrimination as you state eg Race Sex or Disability Discrimination? If you raise the grievance and mention by name the bullying and discrimination you witnessed and the company and its managers then start bullying you because of it, the fact that you raise a grievance (ie a process that could end up in an Employment Tribunal) you could raise as a secondary grievance an act of victimisation on you (even if you don't have a disability, racial or sex allegation of discrimination). It might help if you co ordinated all this with the friend / solicitor as they will know how far up the management chain this discrimination has thus far reached. jackieandwayne... I know what you mean on creating new policies around your complaints.... in my wife's grievance they created a new policy, substantially rewrote another and two others had to have substantial additions to them. The funny thing is that even after all that work the policies are ILLEGAL because they seek to negate the law of the land and so are worthless in law. They are there to confuse and justify management lies. -
Gross Misconduct - loyalty card fraud
papasmurf1cx replied to mizzyme's topic in Employment and minimum wage problems
Hi Mizzyme.................. You obviously need to offload to someone. I am sure you will be able to here. You don't seem to be asking a question.... is there something you want to ask or is it just so you can talk about how you feel? Not being a user of these self service tills (I hate them... I like the service tills especially getting to know individual workers) I am not sure exactly what the '[problem]' is and what dishonesty you are being accused of. Also are you saying the names you provided didn't do what you are alleged to have done? Also were your employers aware that you had problems with your eyes BEFORE going off sick? Your reaction /crying is normal to a stressful situation. Let's hope you will be smiling soon.- 18 replies

I don't think your first port of call to be a solicitor as yet. Keep monitoring the situation and keep notes and photos of the condition as it progresses. There will be plenty of time for solicitors in the future. Go to PALS as advised. Keep an open mind and I hope the little one makes it. Good luck to all.

yes they do thin k we are stupid and unfortunately many will still fall for it..... including my wife. However we never buy anything we don't want so that is a saving grace I suppose.

Hi souza...... I am sure some of the experts in this area will pick up on your problem soon. So sorry to hear of your problems. What is your son doing about this. he got you into this problem what is he doing to pay the debt? Are you getting all the benefits and allowances you are entitled to, eg DLA, Carers allowance housing benefit? You could start by listing on a post all the debts you have and the position with them. These cagger's know exactly what to do. I think the most important thing is to safe guard your home.

Can't wait to see her being dragged along the floor as per John Sergeant -
Hi Mozz1.......... Don't panic,,,,, relax. From what you have described you were properly stopped and your explanation seemed to be Ok because you were let go when everything checked out. They may have logged you as a 'verbal warning' but that is all. Unless they issued you with a FPN or told you were being reported for an offence then the likelihood is that you were not. If they checked you out on the Police National Computer then there will be a log of the check and who did it an where and a few other things but if you are thinking you have a criminal record then simply..... you have not. Sleep easy you are just another figure and nothing more.

Tripped and fell at work....
papasmurf1cx replied to PriorityOne's topic in Employment and minimum wage problems
I understand P1... it is worth knowing the system. My wife and I have been through it a couple of times and have little confidence of the DWP doctors coming to a reasoned decision. It can do no harm for a work pension when it gets to that stage. From a personal point of view, working with a disability is difficult and asking your employer to make adjustments is definitely a way forward for you, so a proper diagnosis and investigation is very important. Good luck at the doctors. -
Alan... I fear that even if you went on the holiday that too would be a disaster. I don't see a way out of this problem that isn't going to cause you more cash and more heartache. She obviously hasn't got money to pay you back. She has bought the holiday so despite you actually paying for it she is in control. Perhaps you should just call a halt to this, put it down to a very very bad experience and never let people use your credit card again because by lying to the CC company you will then be committing a fraud. makes your blood boil just as the child story makes your blood boil too. My brother in law has a phrase for these type of girls...... looking for a meal ticket....!!!!!!!!

papasmurf1cx replied to Introuble1110's topic in Debt management and Debt self-help
Hi There are some really excellent cagger's on here that will help you so you will get help and soon. Sounds like you have already started to cope as you have prioritised your most important debt ie your mortgage. Have you read any of the other threads to give you an idea of what you need to do? This link is one that I think gives a great boost to others http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?263744-We-have-so-much-debt-it-seems-only-hope-is-selling-house!. Hope it works out. -
Hi Did your relationship break down as a result of this unauthorised purchase or at least was the straw that broke the camels back? I agree with Feebee that you should be seeking money back from the ex. have you spoken to her about it and who is she taking?

Estate accounts problem
papasmurf1cx replied to concerned-legatee's topic in General Consumer Issues
Hi.... Have you any idea why there are these discrepancies? What is the nature of the item you are particularly concerned about? Do you suspect a fraud occurring? I think you are correctly concerned. have you spoken to / written to the executor and the solicitor asking for an explanation? What did they say?
