  1. yes i have read the post i have tried ringing them but tell me to call back later i spoke with a manager today in a carphone shop they said it was nokia sorry to say im not sure what to do my heads spinning im under stress from the kids about lack of sleeping areas lost clothes ect the house is a family mortgaged home 3 bed terraced . i feel at the moment a walking corpse thank you for your help needed I wanted to send you a quick follow-up on your case.   2. carphone warehouse state the fault is a manufacturers fault that is nokia microsoft problem so there not responsible for this damage

  4. purchased a new phone from car phone warehouse 3 weeks ago. paid cash for the product. last tuesday the charger burst into flames . no one was present in the house so no injuries occured . bedroom suffered smoke damage to the walls celings also most items in the room not recoverable. bedroom unable to be used. i have not claimed on my insurance due to the fact i have no contents only buildings the bit i have to pay is about £1400 of the claim i can imagine the cost of cleaning and redecoration and replacement of the carpet will be about £2k. beds and wardrobes and tv not covered on buildings insurance i will add a fire investigation has confirmed the cause of the fire was the phone charger. carphone warehouse showed no real interest trying to resolve this matter with microsoft who own nokia. problem i face who do i claim against how long should i wait before i clear the room out what does my claim come under the law that covers this mess. i have three people in 1 bedroom so this can no longer continue so must move this along perhaps help advice guidence would help please
  5. this matter has been resolved by lidle i have accepted a full refund from them thank you all for your time
  6. decided to transfer our telephone and broadband from sky to bt this could not be completed by bt until mon 4th january 2016.bt failed to honour this date and failed to get us switched on until the 8th of january 2016. we made numerous phone calls to bt then they sent a engineer around unanounced to check the line. he was amazed and could not explain how this happened as all itjust a supplier transfer.from sky to bt everything was working with sky then it was not with bt.confusing i agree we got a bill on the 4th of jan16 billing us for the next month in advance.so we have paid for services we have not had.i contacted bt showed very little intrest in our dire situation.formally then submitted a complaint.only response we had was to aknowledge the complaint .someone would contact us within 7 days 14 days later heard nothing.a horror story from the start.any ideas what to do on this one how to aproach bt .not happy at all
  7. good morning to all slight problem here banging my head on a brick wall with lidle .september 2015 purchased a hoover on offer at lidle only £69.99 .december 2015 the hoover would not suction when used note the brush under the hoover was not spinning around had the purchase receipt so contacted lidle they advised me to contact a company called bevaform.who i understand is the supplier and service agent for lidle.attempts to contact bevaform very difficult as the company is based in austria. so contacted lidle via social media also sent them an e mail lidle are just ignoring the problem.was told before purchasing the hoover it had a 2 year warranty with it supported by lidle.have had to go out and purchase a new hoover from a diffrent outlet.any advice on my rights how to move forward here regards

  9. please advise me have had my tax code reduced to 897m.reasons are they state i owe £76.14p in tax from a previous year so they have reduced my tax free amount by £380. no records i have show i owe hmrc tax .then i owe £462.15 arrears for class 2 nat ins contributions they have therefore reduced my tax free amount by £2310.00.think i do owe some nat insurance from my self employed days over 10 yrs ago.but do not owe any tax to hmrc im sure about this .how can i dispute this and find out further details on this debt thank you
  10. ok thank you the vehicle remains with the seller that's why there is no tax on the vehicle we was due to take control of the vehicle on Thursday pm our job was to insure it also tax it insurance slightly dearer than my present vehicle tax I don't know the cost per year

Saturday purchased car via right car supermarket sold as a 1.4 fiesta advised it was a cheap insurance car also cheap tax. on talking with my insurers they told me the car I was registering was in fact a 1.6 fiesta the insurance on this vehicle would not be lower.contacted the company asked for an explanation they said they could not give me one as I had been told the correct details and told the insurance company the wrong ones as the finance for the car was completed nothing they could do.   14. no action with regard to repossession has begun yet they make references in letters to these costs if handed to solicitors this company for some reason do not wish to be helpful towards us never had arrears until oct 2014 this totalled £600 that has reduced because we are paying £53 extra on top of our mortgage per month
  15. many thanks indeed yes it was a formal complaint sent to head office. im at work very soon so wont be able to reply until the morning I would add we reply to every letter we send it recorded delivery also date on their letter when replied to. i continue to pay £53.00 per month on top of the mortgage to reduce the arrears .month to month basis arrears will reduce. never thought this co would act like this part of the cooperative group
  16. many thanks indeed made a complaint to platform under the complaints procedure but they said they was right and kicked it out just got the 3rd letter this week from them today arrears of £571.10 stating arrears must be cleared if failure to do so we shall pass it onto our solicitors we are liable to all of our costs
  17. took out a mortgage with platform in july 2005 to purchase my property.all payments paid to date until oct 14. I was given notice by my employer that due to decline in work i had lost my job. Seeked advice from money advice service they told me to apply for a mortgage holiday. Platform looked at our circumstances decided to allow us to reduce our mortgage by £200 per month for 3 months .we accepted this. Halfway through this 3 month period we began to be bombarded by phone calls messages letters with regard to the arrears on our account. we replied to these letters after the 3 month period we contacted them as they had not taken our mortgage for the month. We attempted to resolve this situation with platform . We sent them an offer of a extra £53 per month to clear the arrears on top of our full monthly mortgage payment. they wrote back refusing our offer . But stated that amount would be added to the monthly payment. nothing changed letters calls ect arriving visits to our property at £75 plus vat per visit .reference to solicitors costs also court costs . Everything they threaten us with involves futher costs and debt. I have complained about platforms tatics but found they had acted the right way dismissed our complaint. Never planned to loose my job it happened regret ever asking for platforms help .i have a job with the same co earning around £12k per yr. Sorry for the caps but i do feel here im getting treated rather badly by platform. can anyone please help me utter desperation
  18. came from self employment to unemployment then in aug got work for agencey driver hirein aug 2012 i earnt £4883.36p to dec 2012 tax code was 810l/x. changed jobs dec 2012 to present gross income £6,000 to end of tax year.tax paid £1204.00 ni paid £344.64. tax code BR .so far this year tax paid £488.00 nat ins £137.52 to date 31/5/13. tax code still BR.married with 3 children under 16 yrs no other employment apart from stated here.why am i paying tax on everything i earn.seem worse off in work to be truthfull.any advice please would be helpfull to me.
  19. after a period of self employment then a period of unemployment to aug 2012 where i found employment 4 days per week 6hrs per day min 24 hrs to 30 hrs per week.i was asked about a week ago by local authority benefits section that i was not entitled to housing benefit.but was rather suprised i was not claiming working tax credits my wife does get child tax credits but i dont seem to be getting working tax credits.so when my wifes renewal form came last week i included my earnings for the period enclosed proof of being on benefits and enclosed p60 with forms .total gross earnings £10.903.86p. it said on the form from hmrc they had paid my wife £7593.84p child tax credits.had previouly wrote to hmrc in preston informing them of this employment but had no response from them with regards to working tax credits.so perhaps as they did not reply im not entitled to this help.married man 3 children under 16 yrs in school.so im not sure if im doing this all right here.am i please let me know thank you
  20. due to unemployment from 2011 to 2012 i failed to pay my water bill in march 2013 got a ccj from the courts for £1287.27p wrote to them in march 2013 replied saying they cannot accept payment plan for this debt and i must aproach the courts. did so was told by the courts it was anglian water who should agree a repayment plan with you. month ago got a letter saying i had days to sort this out or would apply to the courts for a attachment of earnings order costing me a £100.00 in extra costs. wrote back within time limit with full list of my circumstances and earnings offering them £10 per week to review it in 3 months to see if situation improved when more could be payable to them. to date no reply . today 6th of june 2013 had another letter dated the 29th may 2013 as i continued to ignore there letters they was applying for a charging order then they will apply to the courts for the forced sale of the property to clear the debt unless i reply by 4pm on 12 june 2013. my wife was in tears opening this and panacking what to do . no letters been ignored have proof of postage on all letters sent. why are they behaving like this when im trying to sort it out and get a payment plan in force. can any person advise me what to do next because i seem to be banging my head on a brick wall .
  21. thank you i have this morning had a futher letter telling me to return my bank card and cheque book regarding my business account .as explained i had a overdraft debt of £1,500. im informed this morning that debt is £1,985.51p.greatly increased .i returned my business cards and cheque book along with a covering letter explaining my debt situation and the position i found myself in.this was done in early jan 2013 and handed direct into my local barclays branch.i have had no reply at all just started receiving the threatning letters this last week on the matters i raised with them in january2013.so with the barclays loan as well of £2,695.24p i seem to be in a terrible postion of owing barclays bank a total amount of £4,680.75p.what can i do i seem to have been up front with barclays but just ignored all letters sent to them .urgent advice and help needed please as im not sure how im going to get out of this mess

  23. wrote to barclays bank re my business in jan 13. stating i was in financial trouble and enclosed my business visa card inside. i have an overdraft debt of £1,500.00. also a loan of £2,695.24p outstanding to the bank. attempts have been made to attempt to try and get their help but my letters ignored. i have submitted 2 claims to recover my ppi insurance on previous loans recently. today i have received a default notice served under section 87 1 of the consumer credit act.1974 demanding payment of me . im employed at present 6 hrs per day 4 days per week weekly gross earnings of £240.00 per week. my business was not a ltd company in my name only . sole trader.with debts mounting up what can i do here to resolve this matter as a matter importance and keeping the bank of my back.
  24. no longer unemployed have a job 4 days per week 6 hrs per day as a driver.have attempted to pay moneys to the council direct .they refused the payment due to its out of there hands with there bailiffs .need to contact them not us
