Our local community centre had its power supply damaged yesterday, and YEDL cut off the electricity to make it safe- this was at 9pm last night.

Any losses due to such power cuts will be covered by the community centres insurances. Loss of items contained in freezers food etc are also covered if power cuts arise, i would read the small print in the contract between the community centre and there insurers. Just hope there have insurance, but i would think there would have, if there have such gatherings in there building.
