Abby, keep the reply simple:

Dear XXXX

Thank you for your letter dated XX June 2006, in which you offered £XXXX as full and final settlement for my claim against your client.

I do not accept your offer.

Yours sincerely,

Abby

OR, BankFodder seems to think that simply not reply may be a better move, the reasons being;

They will expect you to reply, either accepting or rejecting their offer. If you simply don't reply they will wonder wtf is going on, and the ball will be back in their court.

It's up to you....

Not replying is appealing (less hassle), but surely if you reply it gets things moving quicker?

Cahoot - Agreed to settle for full amount of £2024

I would guess so, but they've still got the same deadlines (set by the court now). If it was me? I suppose it depends how quickly you want the money...!

Whatever you decide to do, I would URGE you NOT to accept anything less than your full claim amount.

Got it!

Had a letter from my friend Deborah who has offered me all I asked for! Slip signed with confidentiality bit crossed out - just popping out to post it now.

I feel absolutely great and will be supping champagne tonight (or at least I will when the cheque clears!).
