Recovering penalties from a Debenhams store card.

Hi,i have posted this question elsewhere on this site but can't find it now,has anyone had any luck with recovering charges from the use of this card and does the six year ruling apply also?,i'd be interested to know.Has anyone else also had any luck with any other kind of store charge card,will they send you details of charges levied if asked?.Thanks.

Yes, same process, same principle as bank a/c's

Send this letter + £10 fee:

1. Data Protection Act, Subject Access Request letter - List of charges

Or just ask them for the information, and hang onto the £10. This is a maximum amount they can charge, so give them a chance to supply the info or tell you what they want... even if they only want a fiver, that's £5 you've saved!

Debenhams is GE Money. If you don't sent the money, they won't send the info. Even with sending it, they seem to have problems complying as it is, statements go missing, etc...

 

If you don't want delays, send your £10 straight away.
