Today I get to ask for it all back!!!

I am hoping that all who are reading this will have a fantastic year, hopefully at the banks expense.

 

Today is the day I have been waiting for, I get to send that letter advising the bank that I am looking to get all my money back. Now I understand that they will not just roll over and give in, but it is represents the point where I stop being the victim and start fighting back.

 

 

As always, though, I have questions (even if I know the answers I always have to double check with you guys, sorry):

 

1. I am going to send the Preliminary Approach For Repayment letter and the Complex Bank Charges Xcel Spreadsheet that you guys also refer to as a Schedule of Charges - is that correct? (I also understand that at the moment I am not sending the request for 8% interest, just the first page, which outlines the charges and interest they have taken to date).

 

2. I have two bank accounts (same bank), therefore do I write one Preliminary Approach Letter and include both schedules, or do I write seperately for each account?

 

3. I address the letter to my banks head office. I do not need to find a department name, just LLoyds TSB in London, EC1?

 

4. I have my small claims pack and book on order. Before I send out these letters should I await their arrival? As I understand it I will be giving them two weeks to respond to this letter and two weeks to repsond to the next letter so it is safe to push on before they arrive......right?

3. I address the letter to my banks head office. I do not need to find a department name, just LLoyds TSB in London, EC1? I'd suggest to their Customer Services Dept. Have you started a thread in the forum relating to the bank in question. If not, open one now so that claimants, site helpers and Mods who specialise in that bank can help you. Furthermore, you'll find the Department details, where you address your letters to, there.
