Hi - details below. Hopefully relevant that it was impossible to pay - machines broken (sadly no pic, believe was another machine but couldn't find after 20mins), app not working (have a screenshot), phone line not open on weekends (have a screenshot of call log).

Even if the advice was to appeal - it most certainly isn't - the time for that is long gone. 

Ignore them unless you get a Letter of Claim.

Well done on all the work you did in getting evidence of the app not working and it being impossible to call.  Slight pity you didn't get a photo of the knackered machine.

No, they will refuse it and insist on the £170.

It would also be a good idea to SAR them so you can get your hands on the original paperwork.

The main reason we would like to see the original PCN is that the wording  has to comply with the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. The Act governs the private parking companies and if they get  the wording wrong, they cannot transfer the charge from the driver to the keeper. 

As they do not know who was driving and the Courts do not accept that the driver and the keeper are the same person it gives Nexus problems since thousands of drivers are legally allowed to drive your car. Nexus are not particularly good at getting their PCNs compliant [in their defence they have only had since 2012 to get it right ] , it would be a help to see the PCN.

If you send a SAR get a free Certificate of Posting from the post office so you can take action against them if they don't comply.

Stick in some I.D: like a Council Tax bill, otherwise they will use lack of I.D. as an excuse not to cooperate.

The correct name of the company is CP Plus Ltd., or CP Plus Ltd. T/A GroupNexus.
