We sucessfully reclaimed our bank charges from the Halifax earlier this year (thanks to this site!)

Since then we have had a few more charges probably adding up to £200 or so and I would like to claim these back too however I am worried about our account being closed.

We also had a successful case against the Nationwide and they did close our account so our Halifax account is our only account with a debit card and overdraft and we would be unlikely to get these with a new bank due to our poor credit history.

Anyone else taken on the Halifax twice?

Nationwide:

Total claim (including interest) 951.78

Settled in full: 20/04/2006

Halifax:

Total Claim (including interest) 1635.21

Halifax Settled!!! 12/05/2006

First Direct

Total Claim (including Interest) £2451.05

SETTLED IN FULL!!

Nationwide (Round 2)

Total claim £450 (Taken after account closure)

Prelim Letter Sent 17th Feb 07

Halifax (Round 2)

I am also trying to claim for a second time for charges received after my first claim in September. This is the letter they sent me in response. I had already opened another Current account though during my first claim so it wont matter to me!

Thank you for you recent letter.

I would advise that as we have already refunded charges on this account in September I am not prepared to refund any further charges.

I regret that our service does not meet your expectations. Considering the comment you have made, I can see no value in continuing an assotiation, which gives you repeated cause for complaint. In the circumstances you may wish to transfer your account to another organisation, who I hope will be able to meet your requirements.

If anyone can help answer my question in my thread I would appreciate it!
