Oooh one more quick question, what is the time limit on my request before they are in default? Is there a step by step guide on here anywhere for the whole cca thing? (I have looked but can't find one)

They returned my cheque though, does this matter?

So what do I do next? Is there another letter I can send to them?

I sent a CCA to Direct Legal and Collections and they have responded to say they are an agency collecting on behalf of their clients and that I need to send the letter to their client. Am I being fobbed off by them? I haven't had any dealings with their client for nearly 2 years.

I've done the banks and now want to get the charges that have been added to my account with Littlewoods refunded. They are for things like late payment etc.

How can I find out my old Nat West account details? I have no idea what the account number or sort code is and only a vague idea of when the account was closed. I know that there is at least £200 of charges to claim though!

Now I'm going for an old Egg card. No idea what charges there are, looking forward to receiving the statements! Racking my brains trying to think if I have any other old accounts I had forgotten about!

Well I have just won bank charges back from the Halifax for a second time and now I'm going for Egg! I no longer have my Egg card so wrote to them a while back asking for my statements and received a letter back with 3 options for getting my info. I chose to have copies of all my statements and have sent a cheque for £10. I have no idea how many charges are on the account (if any!) but I was in a huge financial mess when I had the card and ended up re mortgaging and giving them a full and final settlement of the balance which was several thousand. I imagine there are a fair few charges on there and I'm quite looking forward to seeing all the old statements. It will be like a trip down memory lane seeing where my money went in those carefree days before I was married!

I have my money!!!!!! It has gone in as several different credits, some say "cash" and some say "bank credit" Finally I can go and buy some food!!!!

What a relief!

I've just rung them up to see if I can pin them down as to when the money will actually be in my accounts but they just said by next Tuesday. I want it now! (stamps foot)

FINALLY!!!!! The postman has just delivered the letter saying that they will be paying the full amount £1170 into our account in the next 5 days! I do hope it goes in quicker than 5 days.
