Unless it's got a title of "Letter Before Claim" or similar, the letter is just hot air from paper tigers.

Hi,

Nearly one year on, i have recieved a 'notice of debt recovery-unpaid parking charge £170' from a bailiff, stating i have to pay within 24 hours to ensure no further action is taken.

What do i do? Will they come to my home and take goods? What do i do if they come to my home?

The letter does state that 'this case is NOT subject to high court bailiff action and failure to pay, then they will recommend to their client to commence legal action against me.

no read it properly its not from a bailiff

read the very bottom of the letter carefully

they are acting as a powerless  dca

a dca is not a bailiff

and have

ZERO legal powers on ANY debt - no matter what it's type

ignore

It's not from a bailiff, it's from a powerless third party.

I'm guessing DCBL, right?

Bailiffs pursue people who defy court orders.  A bailiff can only be involved if you have received a Letter of Claim, been taken to court, lost the court case, then decided to defy the court and not pay.

Yes, its DCBL. I did wonder when i would have my chance to show the charge is void, as pointed out earlier in the thread, i was informed here that they sent the charge outside of the timeframe, so i am unsure why they keep harrassing me.

At what point do they give up?, this has been going on since January 2020 and when they last sent a 'letter before claim' almost one year ago, nothing came of it until getting a letter today.

They are causing me distress.

thats all they can do.

just never ignore a letter of claim

or a court claimform pack.

IF IF IF either ever appear.

and ofcourse never move without writing and telling them

The best way to not get tripped up by these not-really-bailiffs threats is to read threads by other motorists in the same position.

That way you familiarise yourself with the legal process and with the tactics of these scaremongering parasites.

You never told us what happened in February 2021.  Did you send them a snotty letter?

Is this latest letter entitled Letter of Claim or similar?

We could do with some help from you.
