Hi I'm really hoping somebody can help.

On Jan the 8th I parked on private land in Nottingham (county house excel parking) and displayed my ticket.

On return to my car I had a ticket for parking outside of the bay.

I immediately took photos as my car is in the bay one wheel is out.

I have uploaded a picture for you to see.

I had to park like this because of the way the car next to me was parked my passengers couldn't get out,

this would be visible on CCTV (however the camera was pointing down so I'm not sure it was working I took a picture of this also).

So I appealed and excel refused it.

I then sent a letter which I got from [removed]

asking for more detail about the land and other things no reply.

I then have two letters from a company called BW legal asking for £100 original fine and £53 in legal fees, it also threatens court action.

The letters go to my place of work which is a further education college as they obviously don't have my home address (they got my college one off my email to them appealing).

I called BW legal yesterday and asked under section 40 of the administration of justice act for the case to be placed on hold until id received advice,

they said they didn't have to do that as they aren't regulated?

I also said I wouldn't pay and he said id get one further waning then a court summons.

What should I do?

Are they just trying to scare me?

well you done a good enough job of scaring yourself silly without their help already...

firstly its NOT A FINE.

2nd if you read a few posts here

they are sending these letters out like confetti..

shame you rang them.

they are nt real sols and you didn't get a real parking ticket

its a speculative invoice.

think you've done enough already

see if you get a claimform then it can easily be dealt with.

I cant see much point in sending the one line denial letter you'll see here in VCS/EXCE/BW threads

and ofcourse you've identified you were the driver tooo?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
