O2 Insurance

Hi

 

Lost my phone today (booooo) and I thought I had insurance.

 

I renewed my phone contract online and don't really remember what it said. I do. however, have an email from O2 saying documents attached detail my cover which is lost and stolen. O2 are saying my cover is only for accidental damage.

 

Any idea where I stand with this? I have to take the emails etc to an O2 store to prove to them what they sent me but they are denying I have Loss & theft cover.

Print off and take into a store. Perhaps they offer different levels of cover, but send out one generic document. You only paid for their basic cover. You would need to look at what you originally signed up to.

 

If no loss cover, see if you have any Home Insurance cover for loss of phones.

Certain bank accounts also offer mobile phone insurance, worth checking

It came as an incentive with the phone. I have two phones, same incentice (I pay for my mums) and the other one had insurance but the email was only accidental damage.
