Hello,

I'm taking the bull by the horns and trying to sort my finances,so today I got my credit report from Noddle.

It's showing multiple searches on the same day by various insurance companies. We're talking 7 searches in one day for a number of months on the trot.

I only have car insurance, and that's only renewed once per year so I'm a little baffled by these searches that have appeared.

Anyone know what's going on and how I can stop these searches?

Many thanks!

I get loads of searches by insurance companies on my credit report, Usually close to renewal, Though some at other times

They are soft searches, so other creditors don't see them, and they don't effect your score

Still very annoying if they have no permission to search the files, Colin ?

I searched one of the compare sites at the beginning of Decembe to renew, but these are right through the year. And there are 2 or 3 searches by the same company on the same day sometimes.

If it's something that other searchers can't see, that's no problem, but still a bit annoying that I'm getting a dozen extra pages come off my printer because of it!!!

Those searches are just for quotes and arent seen by other lenders. Just you.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If you have searches by companies like Lexisnexis then that will also be down to comparison site bulk data handling. These co's do searches for other companies by buying copies of entire databases so they dont have to keep going back to the original CRA.

I have noticed that they arent as careful who their customers are as they should be though.
