hi a newy here. have 2 credit cards with lloyds tsb as well as a bank account. am in the process of making payment plan with both credit cards due to being on maternity leave. the bank are however authorising full payments to each card at card holders request which is coming out of my account even though there are insufficient funds to make the payments. credit card companies say they can take money out of any tsb account if payment is late. Has anyone else experienced this any help would by appreciated as my account is now so overdrawn because of these payments they are leaving me no money at all :x

yes it does say in term and conditions that they can take direct from account but surely that is only if there is money in account.does anyone know if there is any way can stop it apart from taking money out of account as soon as it goes in which really isnt practical does the bank have to comply with a request to prioritise payments

I think you should change bank accounts as soon as you can.

I have just done this.

I struggled to get an acoount with the other 3 of the big 4 because I had been overdrawn but got an account with the Yorkshire who seemed pleased to have my business.

It is called offsetting which in my opinion is immoral.

They can leaglly take money from one account to pay another off at an amount and time of their choosing and they don't even have to tell you, this has happened to my wife and i on several occasions.

As far as i am aware their is nothing you can do

change bank accounts as soon as possible as they will continue to do this.

regards

adamski

Hi,

Get in touch with CCCS who will give FREE advice and help to work out your budget.

I've not got the number with me as I'm at work but they are a charity who charge nothing, unlike the ones advertised on tv who want £1500 before they will do anything
