I requested a copy of my credit report so I could see exactly what I owed and

I discovered I have a ccj on there from 2010 which is for car finance that my ex husband had taken out

- it came out of our joint account at the time but I definitely didn't sign any car credit agreement

- I would have only been 18/19 at the time and can't actually drive anyways.

The ccj is with first response finance.

I have never received any ccj court paper work either.

How do I go about challenging this and getting it removed from my credit file?

Thanks

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

If I ask them for a copy isn't that me then saying it is my debt and I don't really wAnt them knowing my address incase they were to send baliffs as it is a long time outstanding. Yes it is northampton. Can I ask first response for a copy of the original credit agreement?

Thanks

CCJ nulls the need for a CCA

the court don't send bailiffs

the claimant does. [as such]

forget about that

get it moving.

you gather info to prove its not yours.

is the debt listed on your CRA file

[not just the fact of a CCJ showing in the public info section]

Yeah it was on a copy of my credit report that I got from experian.

I really don't no how to prove it's not mine without wishing to sound stupid

- the ccj is from 4 years ago and

the original agreement would have been taken out in 2007-2008

if the debt as well as the CCJ is on your CRA file

that must means that you are named & signed the agreement.

could your ex have pulled a fast one

and put your name down on it too?
