Hi everyone, hope all is well.

Around two years ago when I first started college in the UK,

I applied for a bank account with Lloyds TSB,

I waited for around 3 weeks and thought that I didn't receive any confirmations, and so I went with another bank.

Today while I was checking my old messages I noticed the confirmation message send by Lloyds around two weeks from my application date,

stating that the account is open and I should go collect me cards.

Now I am worried that I may have to pay any charges,

since I never deposited any money in the account,

or receive any of the cards,

all I did was to apply for it, and the application was accepted.

Could someone please help me out here, thanks.

Hello Moeh, I have moved your thread to the correct forum and hopefully others will pop in and advise.

I am not quite sure why you should be subject to charges simply because you havent deposited any money in the account.

If you have since set up a bank account with another provider, I would simply write to LTSB and say that due to the fact that you had not heard from them you set up an account with another bank. You are therefore asking them to close the account and destroy any cards in their possession.
