Could anyone give me the email address to get in touch with Harlands Group re cancellation of membership?

I have been a member of a gym whose direct debits are run by Harlands for a few years and wish to cancel but as I cannot find any information regarding the length of notice needed to cancel I could do with an email address

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Hi Iain,

There's actually no need to involve Harlands when cancelling.

In 2011, a High Court judge said you can cancel a gym agreement by contacting the gym or their admin company by phone, by telling them in person, by email or by writing.

Personally, I suggest you take a letter to the gym giving them notice of you cancelling the agreement. You don't need to give any reason. Take a second copy of the letter and ask a staff member to sign that for you, as a receipt for you to keep so you have proof of your giving notice.

If you tell us which gym this is, we may know their cancellation policy.

Generally, you would need to give a clear month's notice. So, if you cancel by taking the letter to the gym by 31st October, you'd pay a final DD payment in November and be able to use the gym up until the final m/ship day.

I would cancel the DD mandate by contacting your bank direct once you know the final pay't has been made.

:-)

We could do with some help from you
