If they act on behalf of a council then they are legit as they are PENALTY fee's. If they are acting on behalf of a private company, then they can be ignored as they are parking CHARGES.

 

I say this because on their website, they state they act for both councils and private companies.

if it says

[AND ONLY THESE THREE EXACT WORDS]

 

PENALTY CHARGE NOTICE

 

then it legit

 

if it uses ANY other or MORE words

 

then its a SPECULATIVE INVOICE and can be ignored

This in relation to a speeding ticket from France on a thread in another forum , not sure if this outfit is the one after the money , just happened to be mentioned .curious

Same rules apply as above if they try and enforce it in the UK.

Cant be enforced in the UK but woe betide you if you go back to France in the same vehicle. New EU rules will make it possible to enforce any alleged misdemeanour without recourse to appeal if they are accepted and it looks as though they will be as the British politicial elite doesnt have the guts to say no.

cant say, but many laws are no retrospective when it was always the case that they couldnt be. Margaret thatcher did it once and that chance has been leapt upon with ever increasing alacrity ever since.
