Hi

After a bit of advice. I purchased a Wallet from Selfridges at the end of September. I've noticed this week that the stitching has broken on the card holder part of the wallet. I've contacted Selfridges, who have told me that as it has passed 14 days there is nothing they will do.

I paid a substantial amount for this wallet (In excess of £100) is there anything that I could do?

Email the CEO [email protected] and advise him that this item is obviously sub-standard as a wallet over £100 should last more than just a couple of months.

My tips :-

1st give him the s&*T sandwich (something nice, the bad point, then something nice) so flatter his stores (All other products I purchase have been made to a high stanard...) then the poo (However this one item, a wallet retailing over £100 has sub standard stitching), followed by something good (I hope we can resolve this so I can continue shopping at selfridges in the knowledge that if things go wrong you will make things right)

Use his first name two or three times in the email. Makes you seem friendly and it's hard to say "no" to a friend.

Let us know the response.

If in doubt, contact a qualified insured legal professional (or my wife... she knows EVERYTHING)

Or send a cheque or postal order payable to Reclaim the Right Ltd.
