Hi,

Can anyone please tell me where I can find a template letter for requesting information about my Eggcard/Egg loan which I got from Egg between 2001 and 2005.

I don't have any information about both accounts as the loan was fully paid off and the Eggcard account closed in 2006.

Any info will be very appreciated.

Hi

You will need to send a Subject Access Request (SAR) to Egg. Template is here which you can amend to suit. Ensure that there is aline in there that tells them that it is to include copies fo all and any agreements you have had with them.

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/content.php?552-Data-Protection

Cost is £10 and they have 40 days to comply.

For any accounts that were closed more than six years ago the lender may have destroyed the data on that account and you may have a fight getting information over six years old anyway.

If it were me I would SAR them and see what comes back.

I have recently been helping a friend with his,so the SAR info is correct as of August 2012.

Address that you need to use is

Data Controller

Egg

Riverside Road

Pride Park

Derby

DE99 3GG

Telephone 0845 233 233

I have to say, they were not exactly fast, and a reminder had to be sent as they were 3 weeks overdue.

We managed to get copy statements going back to mid 2002.
