Sorry, i thought I'd posted this before, must have messed up.

 

I had a questionnaire from ATOS which I filled but they claim they didn't get. i was OK with this, on reflection, as answers could have been more full & I want to include doctors report which GP is doing for my ex-employers. So I was waiting for the report before sending in very full and accurate replacement questionnaire. But now had a letter from ATOS with assessment date; does that mean they found my original qu. after all?

Who knows? Maybe they've found the original questionnaire, maybe they're carrying on regardless like I described on your other thread. Any chance of keeping all your posts about your ESA50 and work capability assessment on one thread? Makes life easier for the Site Team and other contributors cos we don't have to between threads.

 

Should Atos have found the original questionnaire they're going to be very reluctant to accept its replacement but that doesn't mean you can't submit the extra info and the doc's report in support of your claim. In all 'innocence' write your extra info for pages 6 to 18 of the questionnaire into a statement. Take the statement (after you've copied it) with a copy of the doc's report to the assessment, and try to insist the assessor reads them before the assessment. If you're comfy with phone calls, the assessment centre (not the ever unhelpful desk) will be able to tell you whether they're holding the original ESA50.

Sorry about the juggling, Margaret. I thought as this is specifically about ATOS I should post here, but guess I should go to the original thread, as i don;t know where this whole business is going to lead me. i did try to call them today, but lost the will to live waiting for them to answer. Will try again tomorrow.

livvy, I can see it's confusing, but the Atos forum is really for comments about Atos [and rants ]. If you have questions about DWP paperwork, they're better put on the main forum.

I seem to remember the 1st form i got was going back to atos, the other when it was lost / not received im sure went to dwp.

Just a word of advice when submitting forms to ATOS. NEVER send anything to their addresses by ordinary post. Always send the ESA50 form and all others plus any supporting evidence via paid , recorded, next day delivery! The Royal Mail depots ( carefully selected) are intercepting and opening mail, bound for ATOS. They are being paid to do this deceitful work. Don't trust the Royal Mail with any ordinary corresponence bound for ATOS offices. Its true !.incredible, but true. This fiasco has been exposed in the last year.

 

The next hurdle will be PIP, which is replacing DLA next year. DWP Examination advises you of the underhanded tactics by the government, the DWP and ATOS. It will leave you seething with anger as you read about the terrible injustices being given out to people , genuinely unfit for work, even terminally ill people, being stripped of their monies! It may make you cry with some cases!

 

All new claims for DLA will not be accepted after April 2013 as you will have to apply for PIP instead and first hand information has revealed it is going to be tough,to apply for. Go to the Benefits and Work website and join if you want to know how to fight for your monies. ATOS and Capita will be doing the medicals. And they have one sole aim, which is to strip you of your disabilty monies, and declare you fit for work.

 

Take note and get the help you all deserve

They are, uday, among many other things. Like many large conglomorates, their tentacles are everywhere. A bit like ATOS, who don't just do 'medicals'. They are a major IT contractor and electronics manufacturer. (Siemens became Gigaset and was bought by ATOS).

Had the medical. Not sure how it went, hardly lasted half an hour, little physical exam - just a few movements. We shall see.

I have back problems. Had to lean forward as far as I could, asked to squat w/out support=told doc I couldn't, had to lie on bed and lift each leg as far as I could. Had to raise and wiggle hands= no prob. That was about it. I hate talking about my condition as it depresses and stresses me, so I was crying all the way through the medical.

Thanks Livvyp, you right we should stick together and we will is so stressful waiting for replay just can not take it. But then again it is our life and it is not our fault we are disabled but no one cares anymore

OK, I've just had a call from the benefits people and I am in the work group apparently whatever that means - will have to check on this site exactly what it entails.
