first of all, i sent sar and since received back all my statements for the last 6 years, took 32 days. secondly can i also reclaim back daily excess charges, service charges and debit interest charges that i have had automatically taken from my account?, and also i am unsure how to send a schedule of what i am claiming, i have looked in the faqs but cannot seem to find anything about them. do i have to write down all the items in which i have been charged, and finally does anyone know who to send the preliminary letter to at the cooperative bank. any help in these matters will be greatly appreciated, Thankingyou in earnest.

Hi adawson,

You can claim the daily excess charges but not the debit interest or service charges. Send the letter to Delf House in skelmersdale. Its in the thread at the top of the coop section. As for the schedule, I just sent a seperate sheet with date, type of charge and amount. Hope this helps.

I think it may help if you have this thread changed to Adawsom v's co-op, as it will be this thread that you will use to go onwards in your claim.

 

A mod will be able to change your title if you Pm them.

I thought you could claim the Service charges???? I spoke to Co-op just now and they confirmed that the £25 service charge applies when you go over your overdraft. I thought you could claim for that ????

You can claim the service charge for going over your overdraft limit. I did on mine and got it all back

Good for you Gazzah! When I did my claim I was under the impression that anything called a service charge could not be claimed for. Time to get the highlighting pen out again!
