On my road we have 'half on the road & half on the pavement' parking bays. Some are long enough for 4-5 cars & some only enough for one. I parked in a single one recently & received a ticket as part of my car was hanging out the back of the bay. On reflection the space was tiny, only enough for the smallest of cars. My question is: Is there a minimum size for this type of parking space?

See sch 6 parking bay regulations trafic sign regulations and general direction 2002. minimum length is 4,500 mm, width 1,800mm either on road or partially on road and pavement, disabled bays are slightly bigger.

If I have been of any help, please click on my star and let me know, thank you.
