Any one come across this piece of xxxx, absolutely useless Doorstep Agents? Sorry, cannot find any reference to them on here but they appear to be the new ScotCall. I nominate them for the next Comedy Turn at the Credit Today Awards!!

Using our unique debt collection training our directly employed field collectors can offer better collections through data gathering, we will not only use a visit to increase collections but to also harvest information from the debtor that would be passed back to you for you to use in future recovery.

Oh yes, and if a "debtor" refuses to speak to them.. how are they going to harvest this information ?

I think they will have to rethink their training program and take into account the OFT Guidelines on Debt Collection.

The Guy:

Got into the building without using the intercom system.

As the named person was not in - discussed their debt with partner and son, insisting that the person had not made any effort to resolve this - not true

threatened further action and left a really threatening card re: Court action and bailiffs etc which they are not entitled to take, being just the DCA and not the Claimant

Claimed it was illegal to Not answer the door when he could see there were people inside

When told that what they were doing, doorstepping, was not legal - insisted it was

Told the Partner that due to his attitude this matter would be taken further and apparently this guy can do this!!

Serious complaints being typed as we speak

And this the company training people

for employment in the industry, I

question why such training is not

regulated/supervised.

Eh!!

Unfortunately, unless there were witness to this it is going to be a case of he said/she said, isnt it ?
