Hi folks,

Well I live in Edinburgh and have just filed MCOL for approx £4600 against Lloyds TSB.

Moneyclaim state that you require a service address in england or Wales to use their system, so I hired a mailing address in England and have any mail rec'd there forwarded to me(mail boxes etc). You do not have to reside in England or Wales to use the Moneyclaim system. Afterall, you can claim via MCOL whilst resident in a foreign country. You only require an address for service of documents or payment. Help files and tutorials on the moneyclaim website are excellent, well worth a read.

And, if you were claiming against a company that has no service address in Scotland then you would have to use the Engslish small cliams system anyway, I think it's all about choice, and as TSB (in my case) conducts business in England then I choose to litigate there.

Hi,

I have lived in Scotland for 3 years but my bank (natwest) is in Hertfordshire, England (the only Natwest branch close to my address is 15 miles away in the city centre).

I'm a newbie to this and have today sent off my first letter asking for past statements along with my fee. Would i be able to claim in England, or would it be more beneficial to go through the scottish court system?

Many Thanks, Jo xx
