Hi great site.

Although it's my first post this site had helped me alot in the past with the bank charges so respect for that one!

Today I got a PCN for contravention 622 "Parked with one or more wheels on or overa foothpath or any part of the road other than a carriageway."

I parked on a single yellow line with 2 wheels on the path as parking fully on the road here causes congestion and can be a pain.

Don't get me wrong I'm no mother theresa it just simply makes sense on this particular location and without sounding to naive its what everyone does here! *Please don't quote that sentence and give it to me!

To be honest I didn't even know that what I done was wrong.

Anyway here are some photos of PCN and location. *

Any help to appeal would be greatly appreciated.

You MUST NOT park partially or wholly on the pavement in London, and should not do so elsewhere unless signs permit it. Parking on the pavement can obstruct and seriously inconvenience pedestrians, people in wheelchairs or with visual impairments and people with prams or pushchairs.

Footways are for those on foot hence the name if the road is not wide enough to park safely then park elswhere.
