I had mine out starting at number one when I was 24, number two when I was 27, number three when I was 33 and number four when I was 38. Nunber three caused the major problems because it broke and the dentist left bits in my gum. That resulted in severe innfection within a few days and a three day stay at hospital :(

Ooh, you've given me a bit of hope BB. I do think they should have been taken out years ago as they are getting infected every couple of months, and I have been having problems for over ten years. My top ones are also growing outwards towards my cheeks. The thought of having them out does terrify me, especially as my jaw dislocates, and they say the older you get the more likely you are to have complications, but I'm sick to the back teeth of these infections (pun intended). They won't give antibiotics and to be honest I don't want antibiotics all the time I think it's unhealthy. But surely for them to be getting infected so much is cause for concern.

Hello peeps. She does say something BB about 'impacted' when she's looking at them, you know when they are examining at the beginning, they do a list of what teeth are missing etc, and on quite a few she says impacted, but I never knew what it meant, I figured it was normal or not a worry as she never said anythign else about it. When I complain of the pain she just fobbs me off. I'm due to go again soon but waiting until after I've been hospital for my neck as some of the problems with my neck I'm told might be being caused by my dodgy jaw :-(
