This approach applies to all applications new and old - although it may be safer to use with an existing application until we have some results.

However, this for historical charges.

If since the OFT test case, the banks start being honest about their charges instead of misrepresenting them then you will not be able to claim on this basis.

So the new FAQ can apply to new claims for old charges.

I am very confident about it though - with Yorkshire Bank and with Abbey.

Moderately so with Lloyds

We need more documents showing how they have attempted to justify their charges - all banks.

We can make a template available if you come to us with your specific case.

We have no general template yet

We have two cases against Abbey and against Lloyds which are going before the judges next week on a strike out matter.

I have confidence that they will be permitted to continue their claims.

Before the not so Supreme Court Judgement, HSBC wrote to me with charges that they highlighted, they stated that they had made a 'mistake' with regards the charges. Something else really important cropped up so I haven't done anything about it as yet.

The standard HSBC defence (mines from April 2007) clearly state "the charges applied to the claimants account are reasonable and properly and fully disclosed" does this fall into the "reasonable" arguments?
