I've posted this here because its a general situation question rather than a question about a specific credit card.

Due to over zealous payments last month I am currently £46 in credit on my capital one card......I need that money off the bloody thing and to have a balance of £0 so I can close the account.

But I am very wary of doing it right so they can't charge me any more interest...is it as simple as just transferring it from there into the account I need it? The card is already cut up so I can't get the cash via a cash point (which would also worry me) but still have the ability to get online to them.

So is it as simple as just transferring the correct amount of money off the card therefore making the balance zero??
