I got 167 pages of bank statements through yesturday, adding up all the charges, in 6 years I got a total of £223 of charges, £100 in one go - which prompted me to leave HSBC.

Is it worth trying to claim back £223 ?

If £100 made you leave, why is £223 not worth claiming?

Yes, claim it!

If you don't claim it then feel free to write me a cheque for that much ;)

Seriously dude, its a fair amount of cash, and I'm pretty sure you'd find something to do with it.

yeah, I've got 8 months to pay £4k off a credit card so it would come in handy!

Can you claim against credit cards too? even if they've since been closed?

Yes you can, almost identical process as claiming from a bank account.

If they over charged you then I am pretty sure you can, at the top of this subforum you will find a sticky saying what you can and cannot claim for though. I'd recommend reading ALL stickied stuff so you know EXACTLY what you are getting into with doing this, as if you follow the advise here you will be in good hands, but if you go a bit maverick you could cock things up, which aint so good.

Thank you, I've read all the sticky's previously but only thought about my old bank account! Never thought about my credit cards, or my partners for that matter - I've just taken on his debt because he kept forgetting to pay ontime and was paying a day late and so getting late payment fee's and also he had no idea about card tarting!
