Hi Guys,

one of my overseas freinds has a bit of a problem. he is from Denmark, so I am acting on his behalf. A guy in England owes him money (or a car part back, but long story!), but he has recently moved house, so serving legal paperwork might prove difficult. Is there any legal way to get the new address of the guy we want to send the court summons to? Thanks, Will

Write/visit his old address and ask? There may be redirection in place, so he may know you want to make contract, but if he doesn't - you;re stuffed. An internet search (with the old details) may provide enough information to discover the new address. Finally, Debt Collectors routinely access the databases of the CRA's and will spot any address change.
