credit agreement checking service

I noticed in another post reference to a credit agreement checking service on this site. Can anyone tell me if it is still around, and how I access it?

There are plenty of commercial companies who will check an agreement for a (large) fee.

 

There is no checking service as such on this site, but if you've received an agreement and want opinions as to enforceability then you are free to post a copy (minus any personal details) on the appropriate forum and ask for opinions.

Is this all they sent? No piece of paper with your name on? If so, how do they intend to prove that this is your agreement?

They didn't send it. I scanned it and saved it when I started the account in Nov. 2003.

What you have scanned is not enforceable even by order of the court as it doesn't include your signature. However, it could be that the creditor will have a proper copy of the agreement. If you want to go down the unenforceability route, you need to make a request for the copy of the agreement under the CCA. It would be unwise to take any action without being sure of what they might hold.

I also have a scan of the form I signed which shows a pre-printed date (6/11/2003) and refers to the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
