Hi everyone. I have just joined today and in need of advice. I took out an Egg credit card in 2000 and, having read many (very informative) posts on here, and those on other forums, believe that my CCA may be unenforceable. I have written to Egg and asked them for my CCA, along with a Postal Order for £1.00 (the PO is so they don't have my signature on any documents and my letter is unsigned too). I realise that they will 'default' on my request if they don't provide this documentation in 12+2 days time and, until then, there isn't much I can do. However, in the meantime, my question is, if they don't respond within the time frame do I continue to make the payments as required, or do I stop payments and advise them that I have put my account into dispute. I have just come out of a six-month short term repayment plan with EGG, whereby the monthly repayments were lowered and no interest/charges were applied, but now that this has ended my payments have gone up by almost £100 a month and it's crippling me. The overall debt is just over £5000. Any advice would be gratefully received!
